Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
1. Place garlic, onion and oil into Tm and chop - 3 sec/speed 6. Then saute - 8 min/120 deg/speed 1
2. Add sweet potato and parsley to TM and chop - 5 sec/speed 7. Scrape down sides
3. Add remaining ingredients and mix - "Counter-clockwise operation" 10 sec/speed 3. Use spatula to finish mixing if needed
4. Heat a frying pan with a good splash of oil and drop heaped tablespoons of mixture into pan. Fry on medium heat until golden brown (approx 5 min each side). Set aside on paper towel once cooked and repeat with remaining mixture
5. Serve with a green salad and yoghurt dressing *see notes

Tip
Easy yoghurt dressing - simply add some crushed garlic and a squeeze of lemon juice to any natural yoghurt. I use this recipe for my yoghurt - //www.recipecommunity.com.au/basics-recipes/easy-thick-vanilla-yoghurt-time-poor/241723

Second time cooking this, first time frying pan second oven. Oven definitely preferred. Served with Greek yoghurt mixed with lime and garlic. Just me so didn't worry about salad as enough vegetables involved but would serve with salad if serving for someone else

Delicious! I didn't have haloumi but after reading other comments I used half grated mozzarella and half Colby instead. Even teenager, Mr "there's no meat in them??", loved them. I baked half (200C for 20 mins) and pan fried in EVOO the rest - we definitely preferred the pan fried for the lighter texture. Served ours with rocket, avocado, dollop of sour cream and lemon wedges for a light dinner. Great recipe! I'll be making these regularly; thanks for sharing!

This was sooo good! I had to put normal potato in as we didn't have sweet potato and I added some oat milk at the end as my mixture was rather thick. But it was beautiful and we will definitely make these again!

We all enjoyed these. I did half on the stovetop (in a hurry to get dinner on the table) and oven baked the rest, and I actually preferred the texture of the oven baked ones. I had them in for 15 minutes at 200o C.

These were really nice! I didn't have enough sweet potato so just made up the difference with carrot. Added some extra haloumi, and slightly less parmesan (as that's what I had in the fridge)... great lunch for work!

Very easy recipe but I think the fritters needed that yoghurt dressing (which of course I didn’t make)! Found the flavours improved after being refrigerated overnight, so increased rating to 5 stars ⭐️

These are my new favourites. Left out the onion, used GF flour instead and still tasted devine. Served with grilled chicken and salad, and not one complaint from the kids.

So delicious! I added some cheddar as I didn't have enough haloumi, and used white potatoes instead of sweet. Also, used the equivalent amount of all purpose gluten free flour, so they were a little denser than with regular flour, but still great!

Fantastic recipe! I baked in the oven to make it easier (and even healthier) as you dont need to cook it in oil. I baked on 200C for 14 minutes then let them cool for about 10 mins before eating.
Served plain and/or with a dollop of thick greek yoghurt.
Very tasty. Will become a regular at our kitchen table. Thanks for posting!

I created an account so I could comment on this recipe- it's such a hit in our house and we have it at least fortnightly. I don't think anyone has even noticed there's no meat I generally serve it with Bill Grangers Green Goddess sauce and it's just delicious. Thanks so much for sharing this one
