I loved this recipe. I used it for Easter dinner dessert, so instead of bread I used hot cross buns - THERMOMIX CUSTARD CROSS BUNS. And it was really delicious!!! Thank you Cooking 7

    Awesome!

I used failed GF muffins cut in 3 plus 4 GF bread crusts chopped up, choc chips, blueberries and strawberries. Didn't put much sugar on the bottom and was generous with the cinammon because we love it. It was amazing! We had 2 massive serves! Definitely adding this to my favourites.

Delicious, so caramelly and creamy, next time I won't put the sultanas on the top though as they had that burnt taste.

  • Fantastic Recipe, quick easy

Submitted by Liz Connolly on 7. February 2015 - 21:26.

Fantastic Recipe, quick easy and becuase it is sweet you only need a small amount.. I poured a bit of pure cream over the top and it was perfect. I also use Cranberries instead of sultanas as that is all I had. I think you could halve the sugar, but then you would eat more so you can wieght that up for yourself... very easy to double and make for a large family!

Thank you so much for sharing!

Easy and really yummy. I layered everything and probably only used about 25g of brown sugar and it was definitely sweet enough. Would make again if I had spare bread to use up

    Submitted by Tiffany75 on 9. April 2013 - 14:50.

We loved this!! I actually had to use up some muffins that were a fail and more like rock cakes! Next time I'd probably leave out the brown sugar as it was soooo sweet with the condensed milk but that's only me being conservative on the sugar as it was delish as written above!

Just reporting back that the famly verdict was very positive.  I picked this particular recipe because I had run out of raw sugar and had brown and condensed milk in the pantry, but I will be coming back to it just for the different flavour.  For those who like bread and butter pudding, I also recommend the one in the Festive Flavours recipe book.  tmrc_emoticons.)
