For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- Add to bowl, chilli's (split down the middle) ginger and garlic and chop 3 seconds/Speed 6.
add all other ingredients except for cornflour/water mix.
Cook 15 mins/100°/reverse/Speed 2.5.
Set timer to 3 mins/100°/speed 2.5 and leave MC off so you can pour in cornflour/water mix.
Tip into sterilised preserving jars.

This is a great sweet chilli sauce.
I remove seeds and reduce sugar a little bit for a milder version.
