- 2 small leeks, white and light green parts only
- 2 garlic cloves
- 50 g Butter
- 160g raw cashews
- 1/2 tsp salt
- pepper, ground, to taste

For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. Recipe's preparation
- Cut leeks lengthways and wash well to remove any dirt.
Add to Thermomix bowl in 10cm lengths. - Add 2 garlic cloves, and 50g butter to bowl then chop 3 seconds/Speed 5. Scrape down sides of bowl and repeat if neccesary.
- Saute leeks and garlic for 12 minutes/120 degrees/Speed 1 until soft and sweet.
- Add salt and pepper, plus cashews, and 30g of water and blend 5 seconds/Speed 7. Scrape down sides, add a little more water and continue blending until the desired consistency is achieved.
- Serve warm with crackers, and vegetable sticks.
