      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Cut onion in half, add to bowl and place measuring cup on the lid. Chop speed 4 for 5 seconds. Scrape sides of bowl with spatula and chop again at speed 4 for 5 seconds.2. Add olive oil, balsamic vinegar, brown sugar and salt and pepper to the bowl.3. Saute for 25 minutes at 110 degrees, reverse soft speed Gentle stir setting without the measuring cup.

If you wish to have longer strands of onion, skip step one and slice the onion with a knife.
