This was delicious!!  I did not have celery and had a really fussy mother in law, so left out the garlic.  The rice was cooked perfectly.  I sauted the carrot with the onion and then added it all to the varoma.  This will definitely be my fried rice recipe!  Thank you.

Made a few adjustments to this recipe, as my husband doesn't like veggies in his fried rice, and I added egg, which I cooked on top in the Varoma on some baking paper.

I also used brown rice so cooked for an extra 10 minutes.

A quick yummy dinner that the kids also love!

  • Added in more water as

    Submitted by Ellendon on 10. January 2014 - 20:08.

Added in more water as stopped to look halfway through cooking rice and it had nearly all evaporated. Everyday cookbook says to use minimum 500g. Rice was undercooked so put it in for another 5 minutes still could have done with longer.
