For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- Place onion and potato in "Closed lid" and grate 2sec sp8 (next time try 5 sec sp6) (or hand grate potatoes and grate left over potato chunks and onion)
- Place potato and onion in nut milk bag in steamer and ring out as much moisture as possible.
- Return to "Closed lid" and add remaining ingredients and mix 10sec "Counter-clockwise operation" sp2 (next time try sp3).
- Shallow fry till crunchy and enjoy 😀
