Easy to make. I didn't enjoy the walnut taste.  Would maybe use a different (milder) type of nut next time.

    Submitted by ega321 on 31. July 2016 - 23:59.

Made these for a party, they were polished off so quickly I'm glad I tried one before putting them out or I would have missed out entirely!! Had so many comments on how delicious they were and guests were shocked they were vegetarian! Tasted like meat. No idea how that works, but they were fantastic! I used a healthy teaspoon of vegemite instead of Tamari sauce.

    Submitted by MeganW on 3. July 2016 - 11:29.

These taste amazingly like bakery sausage rolls! I made a batch for my vegetarian sister's baby shower (3 other vegetarians too), and they were delighted. They were totally spun out there was no meat in them, in fact even many of the meat eaters ate these too and commented how fab they were.

My kids gobble these down without blinking an eye and are a great addition to our family menu. Thank so much!

I'm amazed that these have the same taste and feel as processed sausage rolls!  My 8 year old thought it was better than the normal sausage rolls I make with meat (I didn't tell him they were vegetarian!) and hubby was impressed that they were meatless too.

Hi guys, these are amazing! The ingredients are slightly different to the one that comes with the basic cook book but otherwise identical. You wouldn't know it's vegetarian if you didn't tell anyone. These are a big hit and will definitely make them again. tmrc_emoticons.)

  • Brilliant. Super easy and
    Submitted by Joolm on 18. October 2015 - 01:06.

Brilliant. Super easy and they tasted like meat sausage rolls, only these are better because they are less greasy, didn't make a mess of the oven tray and I didn't have to handle meat to make them. Next time I'll probably flavour them a bit more as I couldn't taste the herbs and tamari sauce, so they were a little bland for my taste (although sausage rolls normally are pretty bland, so it isn't a failing of the recipe).

Have made these a few times now. Even my husband who hates all things vegetarian loved them. I grated a carrot and added it in with the feta cheese stage the last time I made them and enjoyed that batch the best. My 9 year old daughter loved helping with the rolling of the sausage rolls as well tmrc_emoticons.) Great recipe, thank you!
