      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 180 degress C. Grease and line a square cake tin (20cm) and set aside.
    2. Place butter and golden syrup into mixing bowl and melt 2 min/60 C/ speed 1.
    3. Add self-raising flour, coconut, sugar, eggs, and milk and mix 15 sec/speed 5.
    4. Pour mixture into prepared cake tin. Bake for 25-30 minutes (180) or until a wooden skewer insterted into centre of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool in tin for 5 minutes then transfer to a wire rack.
