      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.       If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

    Vegan Pancakes
  1. Place sugar, self-raising flour, bicarbonate of soda and baking powder into bowl. Mix 10 sec / speed 4.
  2. Add almond milk, vanilla and vinegar. Mix 10 sec / speed 5.
  3. Scrape down sides of bowl and mix again, 10 sec / speed 5 or until smooth.
  4. Heat a frying pan and lightly coat with a light flavoured oil (eg. Rice bran oil) then pour pancake mixture in, approximately 1/4 - 1/3 cup amounts, depending on size desired.
  5. Turn pancakes over when bubbles form on one side, usually after 1-2 minutes. When ready, keep pancakes warm in a Thermoserver while continuing to cook the rest.

Tip

Substitute almond milk with soy milk if almond milk is not available.
Coconut oil can also be used to grease the frying pan.
