Recipe's preparation
Pre-heat oven to 180 degC and place a large baking dish half filled with water on the bottom shelf to heat.
Place all ingredients into TM bowl in the order listed. Beat for 30 seconds on speed 6. Scrape down sides of bowl and beat for a further 10 seconds on speed 6.
Pour into an ungreased baking dish (large rectangle approx 22cm x 30cm) and place on shelf above water filled baking dish and cook for 40-50 minutes until set in the centre. Allow to cool completely before icing with Ganache (this is in the Everyday Cooking for Every Family).

Have made this cake many many
Have made this cake many many times. Feeds a crowd so great for parties, catering, cake stalls etc.
My dish is approx 30 x 40cm
Just cover it with EDC/BCB Chocolate Ganache and its set to go.

I'm not sure why but my cake ended up quite dry and a bit tasteless
This cake was a risk for me
This cake was a risk for me as so many things different to my norm. But it was hugely successful for the office birthday morning tea. I did only put 250g of sugar but would probably put at least 300g in next time. I think all the liquid helps to keep the cake moist. And it had a true dense mud cake texture. Thanks for passing on the recipe

A sensational cake! Was a bit
A sensational cake! Was a bit worried on the amount of sugar and the fact that it used balsamic vinegar and had no eggs!
But it rose beautifully and tasted divine....a definite keeper recipe

That's right no eggs! I was
That's right no eggs! I was happy with that as I had none when I made it. The balsamic vinegar gave it a nice flavour too. Don't overcook it though - keep an eye on it.
