      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Shortbread
  1. Heat the oven to 190C/375F/Gas 5.
  2. Add the burnt butter butter and sugar into thermomix bowl Closed lid.
  3. Turn to speed 6 and Counter-clockwise operation for 4 minutes until butter and sugar are smooth .
  4. Closed lidAdd in the flour until the mix is a crumble texture Gentle stir setting. Do not over work.
  5. Sprinkle mixture onto a baking tray approx 1cm thick . Sprinkle with caster sugar and chill in the fridge for 20 minutes.
  6. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until pale golden-brown. Set aside to cool on a wire rack.

Tip

To form shortbread biscuits follow to step 4 and turn up the speed to 8 Counter-clockwise operation until fully combined into a paste .
