350 g

Wild Peach & apple Relish

  • 350 g Wild Peaches, Stoned
  • 300 g green apples, Cored & sliced
  • 80-100 g raisins
  • 140 g brown sugar
  • 150 g Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tsp All Spice Ground
  • 2 tsp granulated garlic
  • 1/2 tsp Chilli Paste

Recipe's preparation

    Wild Peach & Apple relish
  1. 1. Soak wild peaches in water approx. 2 hrs sprinkled with salt. Then drain water off.

    2. Add onion to TM bowl. Chop 3 sec/Speed5. Scrape down bowl.

    3. Add apples. Chop 3 sec/Speed 5.

    4. Add all other ingredients. Put on lid with steaming basket. 

    5. Cook 20min/Varoma/Rev/Speed2.

    Relish relatively thick. Bottle & seal while hot. Makes approx. 4 small/medium jars.

    Hi JanBlam, I have three questions?
    Is it just one onion? Because you add an onion in step two but there isn't one listed in the ingredients.
    Do you actually chop the wild peaches (quandongs) before the onion or only add with the rest of the ingredients?
    Why do you soak the fruit with salt beforehand? I have done quite a lot of cooking with Quandongs and have never seen this suggested.
    Anyway I am going to try this recipe today and see how it goes.
