We asked some of our staff for their recipe recommendations, to help you dive in and start cooking! Butter chicken is a firm favourite in our household. It’s so creamy and flavoursome, my family prefer this homemade version over takeaway.

Brioche (p.236)

Using traditional methods, brioche can be tricky to make, but this recipe is so simple and straightforward and the texture is fantastic! I’ll often use leftovers the next day to make French toast or Bread and butter pudding.

I looked at this recipe and was convinced you couldn’t make lemonade in 2 seconds - I was wrong! This is such a fantastic recipe, it’s simple, easy and so tasty.

Crème brûlée (p.282)

This recipe uses the special temperature feature of the TM5 by cooking at 85°C. It is one of my favourite all time desserts.

This recipe demonstrates exactly why I love my Thermomix. With it I’m able to transform basic pantry staples into a delicious gluten free loaf of bread. It’s cheaper and better than any store bought bread I’ve tried.

Sri Lankan Red Beef Curry (pg 142)

Roasting and blending the spices in one bowl is so convenient for washing up. We enjoy this hearty beef curry regularly and cooking the beef in this way makes it so tender.

Apple Cake (pg 342)

A simple and elegant cake which can be used for any occasion. It is always a popular request as a sweet treat for afternoon tea at our house.

I made this for my grandma during one of our high teas, as she has never tried a gluten free cake before. After finishing her slice, she declared that this was the “best chocolate cake she had ever tried”.
