I'm up to 5 weeks and 2 days now and getting so annoyed. Late last year I bought a brand new car, which was brought in from interstate to get the color I wanted, fitted with accessories and I received it in half the time it has taken to get my thermie. Also my finance company wasn't required to pay in full until the day before I picked up my car.
I really can't believe how long this is all taking
I'm pretty annoyed. I was told that there wasn't much of a wait. I ordered the week before Xmas, when I called to find out if there was any idea of when it will arrive I was told that they were still working on orders from November!
I needed it before school started, I would not have ordered if I knew it was this long of a wait.
Hi Pinky, do you know what warehouse your thermi is coming from? I ordered on 29/11, on 23/12 I emailed Thermomix and received a call saying they were processing orders from 21/11 so mine would be another few weeks. I'm in Rockhampton and mine is coming from Brisbane.
Ordered mine on the 23rd- waiting is driving me crazy too! I'm just up to 6 weeks tomorrow. I think picking is when they allocate stock to someone from the warehouse. Have had no picking notification yet so assuming I won't be getting it in the 6 week bracket- fingers crossed for 7!
I agree with adminchicky, the wait is getting ridiculous. A few people commented that there's is at the 'picking' stage at the warehouse, what is the picking stage? I keep thinking of fruit picking, this 1st ripe, we'll send it off...lol. Think the wait is making me go loopy!
You would understand if they were custom made, but they're selling one item, identical for everyone. And if they are still being made (and so the wait), why is the receipe chip not updated to be correct for new deliveries?
Hubby thought he could just buy one from a shop, so only ordered within the week before Christmas. long wait to go. We have a picture of the Thermomix hanging where our machine will go.
My thermomix went for picking at melbourne on 15th Dec but wasn't posted til 24th Dec, I have had a call from my consultant and she is bringing my package tomorrow (friday 2nd jan). I ordered on 12th November and I noticed wild variations in order dates/despatch patterns so good luck - who knows when you can expect it.
That said - It has "only" been 7 weeks and 2 days from order (within 5-8 weeks specified) and I can't wait til tomorrow - I have a fridge full of produce to test out on it!
Hi Ohnonaomi, I like your idea of taking hubby yo a demo, though mine isn't much of a cook, but would definitely enjoys sampling the food.
from memory, meaning one of your previous posts you live in rockie as well. Have you been to any cooking classes? I'm booking into the one held on Saturday 31/01, which looks like it's just a basic TM5 class. By then I should have my thermi so will probably have lots of questions and definitely keen to learn skills to make the most of my thermi.
Hi, Im getting so tired of waiting, nearly 5!weeks so fingers (& toes) crossed won't be too far away.
i have now officially been banned from 'thermo talk' at home. I guess I can understand how it would get rather annoying listening to thermo talk, recipes, etc, etc for 5 weeks
Well I guess I'll have to stick to the forums for now if I want to talk Thermomix. Though I suspect once it arrives everyone will be fighting to have a play!
Sigrid
I know what you mean about "thermo talk" My husband was sick of it too. Then i took him to a party and now he does it too.

I ordered mine on 12th nov (live in SA) and was told on 15th dec i was at picking stage, BUT my consultant didn't get the delivery con note details til 24th dec! I will be lucky to see it before new year.
Our Head Office is closed over the public holidays (Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day), and is open for half a day on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
We are open the usual hours otherwise and can be reached on 1800 004 838
does anyone know if Thermomix will be open over the Christmas break period, and just closed for the actual public holidays? I ordered mine on 29/11, so won't be receiving it until after Christmas and am just hoping this isn't put further back because they are closed over the entire Christmas week. Starting to get impatient
ooh I ordered mine on the 23rd..... Getting close! Very exciting. Don't think it's going to make it before Xmas but hoping it will make it for New Years!
I heard from my consultant on Monday to say that mine is ready for delivery which is happening on Thursday!! So 4 and a half weeks from time of order/payment to delivery! So ready for it now....
Update - my Thermie is being dispatched today - 5 weeks 2 days after ordering ......... consultant thinks it should be here Friday ... fingers crossed, its been a long wait (not as long as some though, which I am grateful for....
Blimey Pola, it is such a stressful waiting game isn't it? Especially because it's not a cheap piece of equipment and in the time it has taken to order the thermomix and anticipate delivery we have ordered a brand new motor vehicle, had extras fitted and had delivery! you would also think because of costs involved TMX would arrange courier delivery instead of good old cheap and cheerful - parcel juggling/dropping Auspost!
Australia Post received my shipping information on the 10/12 at around 3 pm, they picked up my shipment on the 12/12 at 7.40am you'd think my consultant would have received my thermie by now but she hasn't, we are crossing our fingers for tomorro. I'm not impressed at the speed of Australia post at the moment.
I posted a couple of days ago but here's an update - I ordered 12th November and being in SA we are looking at melbourne depot dispatch. I had my email today confirming receipt of funds and order (4.5 weeks from actual order date and confirmation of once finance approval) and they estimate 7-10 days delivery so hoping it just squeezes in before christmas, so in total it should still be under 8 weeks, if not 6 weeks all being well. soooo excited, fingers crossed for everyone!
So I ordered mine on the 12th of November and it's ready to be collected so that's just under 5 weeks? I'm in Perth too, so it shocked me that it didn't take longer! I hope everyone gets theirs by Christmas
So I ordered mine on the 12th of November and it's ready to be collected so that's just under 5 weeks? I'm in Perth too, so it shocked me that it didn't take longer! I hope everyone gets theirs by Christmas
I called Thermomix today because I couldnt handle the suspense - they are saying sometime next week - Im praying for a Christmas miracle and hoping it comes before then!
Talyp.... from my understanding It is part of the contract thermomix have with Once finacnce that the oprduct has to be delivered to you within 10 days of finance going through so you will have yours in 10 days! This is why they are currently holding back on sending final paperwork to Once until they are ready to dispacth your order so they don't breach this part of their contract so yours is on it's way! I suggest giving your consultant a call and booking in your delivery! Good luck and enjoy!
I received an email yesterday saying that my finance had been processed - its been 4 weeks since I ordered - does anyone know how long the wait is at the moment between having finance processed and recieving the TMX? I swear Im like a crazy woman, constantly checking my emails in the hope that there will be news......
I have just had the phone call that my is arriving tomorrow. I ordered on the 28th Oct so that is a 6 wk wait for us and we are in vic. It has felt like a very long wait but so excited now.
Hi I am in SA (waiting for melbourne despatch depot) and I had my finance confirmed 12th November. Hopefully if they are delivering orders from 3rd November I should hear something soon, apparently we get notified that the order has gone through to invoice 1 week before despatch.....waiting waiting waiting (also hoping hoping hoping!) To be fair no one at head office, customer service or even my consultant has ever promised anything other than 6-8 weeks but it is so frustrating knowing that this time of year delivery depots usually ranp up their staffing and hours to cope with demand but this doesn't seem to be the case here.
Just think; this is like pregnancy ... it takes so long for the delivery but once we all get our TMX we will forget the pain and angst of the wait!
I think I am in the same boat as you Pola - I ordered around the same time, and I am in Vic. Hoping to see it soon It's been a frustrating wait. I would have thought that such a high-price item in such high demand, Thermomix in Australia would have put more staff on, or done something to speed up the despatch process?
I feel sorry for the consultants who are having to placate their customers, while not having any real control over the situation!
Just an update. Email received today, it's being delivered on Sunday (we're not free until then). That means it's been 5w5d from order (Oct28) to email/delivery in Perth.
I ordered mine on 10/11 and I spoke to the Perth office a little while ago and was told that Vic are processing orders for the 3/11 so its another week for me. Crossing my fingers it gets to me before Christmas. Does anybody know how long they are closing for Christmas or if they will only close for the public holiday?
I only put my order in a few days ago so I suspect I won't be receiving my Thermomix before mid January 2015. Even though I'm super keen, I've wanted a Thermomix for so long I can wait another month or 2 now that I know it's on the way.
i had never heard of the thermochef so I googled it and found this article comparing the thermochef and Thermomix. Hopefully make you a bit happier with your decision.
I'm also in Queensland and ordered my Thermomix on Saturday 29/11, I received the email advising me my order has been processed the following day.
Would have loved to receive my Thermomix before Christmas but not likely with the 6-8 week wait. Oh well, as my consultant said, we can always hope for a miracle.
I am from WA and I received my machine yesterday - exactly 5 weeks after ordering. I am amazed by it! Be patient everyone - it is well worth the wait. Remember it is the busiest time of year and your getting the most popular kitchen appliance.
Hi Tassielass, my consultant told me when I ordered mine on 31st October that there would be a 5-8 week wait. Were you not told this? Seems like a big omission if you weren't. I can certainly understand your frustation and anger.
Sounds like Queensland warehouse is getting deliveries out in 3-4 weeks. Mine is coming from Vic. When I rang on Wed 26 Nov I was told they were processing 22 Oct orders. I rang again yesterday (6 days later) and was told they were processing 24 Oct orders. Ive already been waiting 5 weeks. At this rate I won't see mine before Xmas. My sister has a thermochef and absolutely loves it. She hosts dinner parties all the time and said the chef is fantastic. Told me not to waste my money on a Thermomix as the chef does everything the mix does. Stupid me, I could have paid 2/3 less and been using it for the last 5 weeks. What started out as excitement in getting the Thermomix has turned into frustration and anger.

So I had a sad conversation yesterday with the WA call centre- I ordered on Nov 23rd (I'm in Adelaide).
mine is not expected until Jan 20th - so the full 8 weeks.
I'm going with the saying; Good things come to those who wait ;)
