Hi DiFlash -
I took my Thermie in for repair. They replaced the ‘arms’ with a re-engineered pair that should no longer give this frustrating result. Tonight is the first use with a hot dinner so we’ll see how it goes. But you do need to replace the arms 😢 to resolve the error.


I am having the same error randomly during cooking C160 error and this usually follows with c144 lid fitting error
any suggestions as this is totally frustrating!

I am having the same error c160 come up.
Can someone please reply or contact me regarding this error.
It just randomly happened mid cook.

Hi. I am a former Thermomix consultant and received my TM5 when it was new to Australia. I have always had trouble with the lid refusing to fit when the machine is hot and therefore usually don’t cook hot foods in this machine. However, lately I’ve been relying more on the TM5 (I also have my old TM31) and the error 161 is driving me crazy. It is ruining the cooking of many meals, even my stock paste just now. Surely there has been a fix worked out since there are now many many posts regarding this problem? Does it need to be sent for repair? Thanks for your help. Barbara

Hi peoples
I am trying to make lentil soup. I make this often and Tonight I now have error C160. Also the lid won’t close without me putting a lot of weight on it. Frustrating 👍

Hello,

I'm halfway through cooking soup and an error c160 keeps coming up and shutting my machine down.

I can't find my thermomix booklet so I'm not sure what it means.

Anyone know what I can do?
