Forum Beef stroganoff without mushrooms

Hi, am wanting to make beef stroganoff, but neither myself nor husband like mushrooms, ideas for a substitute or a recipe without them? Also maybe one without white wine?

Hi Clark, you could substitute any of your favourite vegetables. The following will cook in a similar period of time - zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus. The white wine can be substituted for half white wine vinegar and half water or stock.
