Recipe's preparation
Preheat oven to 180 and grease a 12 hole muffin pan
zest peel for 9 seconds on speed 8
add dates and chop for 20 sec on speed 8 or until they reach your desired size. Set aside
add flour and butter and combine for 5 seconds on speed 8
add remaining ingredients including dates and orange peel and mix for about 10 seconds on speed 5
Pour into tins and bake for about 20 minutes or until skewer comes out clean

Tip
You could also easily replace some of the SR flour with some wholemeal flour. If you don't have any buttermilk, plain milk works just as nicely. I so love the flavour of oranges and dates at the moment

Delicious. I used half freshly squeezed oj (tmx) and half kefir for the liquid. Halved the caster sugar and added about 10g chis seeds. Perfect! Thanks.

These turned out really well.
These turned out really well. Thermomix didn't mix it well though, so I folded it with a spoon in the bowl, remembering not to overmix. They turned out really light and a wonderful tasre. Not too sweet as well, which some date recipes can be. I'll try to upload a photo.

Love these muffins. I added a whole orange and cut down on the liquid. Instead of buttermilk I used yogurt made in TM (wasn't very thick!).

I loved these muffins. The orange and date flavours work really well together. I didn't have buttermilk so used a little sour cream, a little plain milk and a little orange juice to make up 250ml of liquid. They turned out beautifully. I actually made 18 muffins from this recipe.
