Decadent Raw Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients

Brownie

  • 250 grams pecans or nuts of choice
  • 320 grams medjool dates, pits removed
  • 90 grams cocoa powder
  • 60 grams Shredded coconut
  • 3 tablespoons honey or agave syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Icing

  • 160 grams medjool dates, pits removed
  • 20 grams cocoa powder
  • 45 grams coconut oil
  • 160 grams water

Recipe's preparation

    Brownie
    1. Add pecans to TM bowl and process on Speed 6 for 5 seconds or until crumbly.
    2. 2.  Add dates and process on speed 6 for 10 sec.
    3. 3.  Add remaining ingredients on Speed 6 until mixture resembles cookie dough.
    4. 4.  Place mixture in rectangular baking paper lined tray.  Press down firmly with hands.
    5. 5.  Make Icing and spread over surface of brownie.  Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
  1. Icing
    1. Place dates and cocoa powder in TM bowl.  Pulverise on speed 8 for 10 seconds.
    2. 2.  Add remaining ingredients and blend on speed 8 for 10-15 seconds until smooth.
    3. 3.  Spread over Brownie and refrigerate. 

    NB. This slice is very rich and extremely yummy!  You will only need to cut it into small squares.  Store in fridge and don’t take too long to eat it!

    This was great. I didn't do the icing as it ran out of Medjool dates but it was so good. Very sweet though so I could only have one piece (which wasn't a bad thing!).
