For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- Place brown rice in bowl.
- Mix 2 min speed 10 MC on.
- Add remaining ingredients and mix on turbo "Blend" 2 sec MC on.
- Scrape down sides of bowl and mix again on turbo "Blend" 2 sec MC on.
- Pour flour into a well sealed container.

Tip
Add 2 tsp of gluten free baking powder per 150g of flour to make self raising flour.
