Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place 1 kg of white sugar into mixing bowl. Set to 10 seconds and speed 6. All done. Could shorten slightly but don't go higher speed as will turn to icing sugar.

Tip

Have done 200g and 800g with same setting Android achieve the same consistency. Could reduce speed to 4-5 to start with if concerned about turning to powder. I make a batch and put in container ready for future use.
