For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- Add Elderberries, Clove, Ginger and Cinnamon Quills to mixing bowl
- Mix 10 seconds, speed 10
- Add Water
- Cook ingredients 8 minutes, 100 degrees, speed 3 - MC on
- Scrape down sides of the bowl
- Simmer 30 minutes, 60 degrees, speed 3 - MC off (use simmering basket on top to avoid splatter)
- Strain liquid in a Nut Milk or Muslin Cloth (keeping the liquid)
- Allow to cool
- Add Raw Honey and combine well
- Store in a sterilised jar in the fridge
