      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. Halve the strawberries and place in the bowl. Add caster sugar and vanilla bean paste.

    Place the simmering basket on top and cook 45mins 100deg speed 1.

    Once done, remove the basket and cook for an additional 25mins 100deg speed 1.

    Decant into a sterilised jar and jar and enjoy once cooled.

Tip

As this jam doesn’t contain the usual jam setta or apple it doesn’t set like store bought jam, however it’s thick enough to spread onto your toast or sandwich or we love it dolloped onto our overnight oats. It’s pure strawberry and vanilla bean goodness!

You can use less sugar, especially when they are in season and already nice and sweet.
