      Recipe is created for
      TM 5
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

    Vanilla Powder
  1. To make the vanilla powder, what I do is I keep all my scraped vanilla beans and leave them to dry in sugar, creating Vanilla Sugar.

When I have about a dozen or so, I will mill them in my Thermomix along with 2 or 3 whole vanilla beans and turn that into a vanilla powder.

Accessories you need

What to do with my old used Vanilla Beans

Vanilla powder has a delightfully taste and exotic aroma and provides the classic delightful lingering vanilla flavour to your dish.

Vanilla powder is ideal for those wanting the delicious vanilla flavour without the artificial flavouring or alcohol often found in vanilla extract.

Only a very small amount of vanilla powder is needed. 1/2 teaspoon of powder is equivalent to 1 teaspoon of extract.
