Forum Clone of a recipe?
It appears that this Cloning feature is allowing people to just copy. Perhaps it would be good to have "Clone of" And then the original recipes creators Name.
My recipe http://www.recipecommunity.com.au/main-dishes-meat-recipes/apricot-chicken/73415
Other persons Clone which is exact copy - http://www.recipecommunity.com.au/main-dishes-meat-recipes/clone-apricot-chicken/88541
My recipe - http://www.recipecommunity.com.au/soups-recipes/pumpkin-soup/87587
Other persons Clone which is exact copy except they have now removed my photo , added an extra word into the title and shuffled the ingredients around ! and as you can see even my "User name" is still in my Tip that I wrote !

This is not the first time I've had to contact people before but to be honest I don't its right that if someone goes to all the effort to create and write up the recipe on RC That someone can just click clone and it copies .
It takes time and energy to do these recipes on the RC as well as social media and blogs. I think if its going to continue with being able to have others just hit "clone" and copy I'll be removing my recipes and not contributing any more.
Thankyou!
Hi makeitperfect,
Thank you for highlighting this.
The clone function is for members to use when they wish to tweak a recipe to suit their dietary requirements or cooking style.
As no changes were made to your recipe in the clone, we have contacted the owner of the clone and have deleted the cloned recipe as mentioned in your post above.
I submitted a recipe for raspberry friands 18 months ago: http://www.recipecommunity.com.au/recipes/raspberry-friands/17685
and have just found someone has posted the exact same recipe (including my photo) and titled it "Clone of Raspberry Friands" http://www.recipecommunity.com.au/recipes/clone-raspberry-friands/77987
What's the deal with that? They didn't even make any changes...surely this isn't right? I have seen other recipes titled "Clone of..." and thought it meant they were making their own version of a non-thermomix recipe.
Thanks for your comments!
