I think I may end up doing the mashed potato, veges & a sauce (not sure what one...) There is only 2 of us so have been hesitant to do the mashed potato as Ive been advised it only works with the full serve (our reduced serve wasn't nice). Perhaps I could get ahead of the game & use the left over potato for a Shepards pie for tomorrow night...not sure if the potato will still be nice cooked the next night tho...I'm not a good cook so don't know these things...I was hoping my TM would fix that

Congrats on your new thermie.
How about making risotto , potato mash or cauliflower cous cous as a side and a nice sauce such as mushroom or pepper. if u have a thermoserver bowl, keep the risotto warm in that whilst making the sauce. if you dont have the server, make the sauce first and gently reheat in the microwave when about to serve. serve with a simple garden salad.

How about some steamed vegetables, or a salad, maybe a potato or Thai one? You don't mention what you like with your steak but there is a huge array of recipes here, it is just a matter of scrolling thru to find something you fancy. If you want to narrow it down look under sides for instance. You could always whip up a delicious dessert to finish off dinner with a high. good luck!
