Forum Need meal ideas free from gluten, dairy, additive, tomato, mushrooms and sultanas.
My family loves steamed fish/salmon & veg in the varoma and rice in the basket. We also love "fried rice", check out quirky jo's website. I adjust to whatever we have in the fridge. Sometimes I roast chicken breasts or fry some on the bbq to go with it. Risottos are really yum & super easy too. Quirky Jo also has a paprika chicken recipe which is delish.
My kids love shredded chicken or beef.. also mash half potato half zucchini .
Rice pudding with coconut- almond milk . I also add some shredded coconut serve it with stew fruits. I stew the m on dates , cinamon. I have made a paleo banana bread and healthy apple crumble from recipecommunity and they love it.
I am also looking for more ideas as my oldest start school soon.. But she can have shredded chicken all day long!!
I made a chicken and leek risotto that is failsafe. If u google it, I think it will be pretty easy to find. Has raw cashews in it and is yum
i have used my thermometer heaps for cakes and biscuits for the lunch boxes. I even made a potato cake that had mashed potato as its base (gluten free)!
Theres a sugar free banana cake that uses coconut flour that is in the recipe community. That wasn't bad.
Theres an amazing almond and orange cake that is GF but my daughter and I couldn't have it as way too high in salicylates. ALso has sugar.
i make the magic bean cupcakes a lot and this week I substituted half the brown sugar for coconut sugar as has lower GI. They are GF and I make with nettlex so are Dairy free too.
hope some of that helps!
Oh, and sugar free. Can have a tiny bit of honey.
Hi! I got my thermomix in November and I'm finding it great for gluten free bread, stock paste, soups, etc, but I'm really struggling in the main meal department and I'm aware I'm not getting my money's worth from my tmx.
My daughter has been through the Failsafe diet for food intolerances, but now tolerates most fruit and veg with the exception of really high glutamates - tomatoes, mushrooms, spinach and nori. We also limit broccoli and corn for the same reason.
She is also gluten free and can't tolerate cows milk including cream, yoghurt and cheese. She's fine with butter and goats milk.
I have made quirky jo's chicken and brown rice soup and veggie soup, but I need some other easy meal ideas. I have 3 other children and a husband who works late every other week. I need some ideas please!!!
