Forum Flour substitutes
Hi SharonJo,

Then scroll down to last half where Jo describes and shows a picture of Thermo home made coconut flour :
"First you make coconut milk. Grind up 300g dried, shredded coconut for 10 seconds on speed 8 in the Thermomix. (You can use fresh coconut instead if you have it.)
Add 1200g water and cook for 15-20 minutes at 100C, speed 4 – until the temperature reaches 100C. (If using fresh coconut, only add 900g water.)
Blend on speed 8 for 30 seconds; strain through a nut milk bag.
Return the pulp to the Thermomix bowl, add another 1200g of water, and repeat. (You’ll have a thick milk and a thinner milk. You can either mix them, or just use the thinner milk in smoothies/baking.)
Now, squeeze all the liquid out of the coconut pulp, spread on baking paper on dehydrator sheets, and dry in a dehydrator for 6 hours on low temperature. If you don’t have a dehydrator, you can dry it in the oven on the lowest setting. Once dry, grind it up in the Thermomix for 2 minutes speed 9 to make coconut flour! It will be a little bit coarser than bought flour, but it works just as well."

** if you cannot tolerate psyllium husks - replace with like amount of extra chia seeds OR 6 eggs.
Original recipe with eggs is from Danish "StoneAge" chef Thomas Rode Andersen Paleo bread. This recipe was converted to be egg free by Sarah Britton in her My New Roots blog - "life changing bread" & "life changing crackers"
Tenina Holder converted the crackers by grinding the seeds and nuts to form Nutty Crackers_see Thermoflix video for Nutty Crackers on YouTube
All yummy !
Does anyone have a recipe as to how to make coconut flour please? I'm Gluten, Dairy, Yeast & Sugar intolerant and I am sure we can make this in the TM? Would love some help.
I haven't posted questions before, so hope i'm doing this right! :)

Happy Thermomixing!
Hi I am getting a Thermomix soon and would love recipes for the 5:2 diet and breads with no yeast or gluten if it is possible.
Anyone know how to make potato flour?
Hi Jodi1076,
Bakers flour is an actual flour whereas baking powder is a raising agent.
Happy baking
I am in the same position and would like to know the same thing. Im also wondering about the difference between Bakers flour and Baking powder.
Hi Wendykg,
So glad to hear you have received your Thermomix today and want to get started! You may use white flour instead of bakers flour, however the outcome will not be as spectacular! Dont forget to add this ingredient to your next shopping list
Happy cooking!
Hello, I just received my Thermomix today and am keen to get started.
I wanted to make the focaccia but only have white flour in the pantry, not bakers flour.
Can I use this until I get the right stuff?
