I have also had this problem with my TM6. Have also cleaned the pins etc but it comes up continually with "bowl not detected" I guess it's off to Thermie hospital. How much is a service these days?

I don't know if Thermomix would approve of this, but if the clean pins message comes up I spray the pins with WD40 and it seems to cure it. You don't need to empty the bowl, just spray the pins. I suppose it drives out the water.

I find this error C52 comes up when I have hand washed the bowl. Seems to be fine when it's been in the dishwasher.


I keep getting an error message ER C52 Clean the base contacts. I checked and they are clean.

What can I do because the TM stops working with the error.

I have just had the following E.r 52 error on my Tm31. Have tried unplugging and doing the other things the book says. I have also recently put both new blade seal aND lid seal. There is no liquid leaking out the bottom and the pins are dry. Can anyone help me out with a solution, or I will have to ring them tomorrow.

I get this error but only when using the basic chip recipe for fruit ice cream. Happens every time without fail...well so far (3 times in 2 weeks ) I have resorted to using my nutraninja to make it because my thermie can't

I too have had this message this evening right in the middle of cooking diner, I had to use my second bowl which worked but then the reverse enabled mode kept kickicking in, I could not stop the cooking process either.  It is clear there is an issue with the product I would be interested to know if anyone has had anything back from Thermomix as most posts from them seem to be hold on we will give you a call directly.  

I have not even had mine for 3 months and have to say I am quite concerned that this issue has been reported a number of times over a long period of time on post in November 2014!!  Given I have experienced the issue it indicates that a permanent fix has not been identified and applied to the new devices.  

Would like to see what has happened to others with this issue

Hi there. My machine keeps coming up with the same c52 message - clean pins. I'm feeling pretty anxious about it all. Could someone please help me?? 


I have had the same issue tonight whilst cooking dinner where my machine is going in and out of reverse, and also making a funny clunking noise.  I have only had my machine since December 2015 and this is the second issue I have had with it  . I previously had a Bellini for over 12 months and never had a problem with it......very dissapointed customer.

I'm having the same problem. Error C52. How do you fix it. I've cleaned it numerous times and it still won't work. !! very frustrating.

I have just cleaned my pins twice and C52 error keeps coming up.i have tested it with water before putting anything else back in and it works, only to put mixture in for bread to get this message again!!! OMFG!! I hate this thing as it just disables as soon as something "it feels goes wrong"

I have had my Thermomix since July 2015.  When every time I try to use it I get error message C142 saying the lid is not in place even though it is.  I have tried restarting and still get the same error.  Has anyone else had this error? I am not sure what to do.


KerriKAP with ours it turned out some water must have leaked into it.  After a few days it dried out, started working again and has been fine ever since Smile

Hi, my new tm5 has already been back for a service because it kept going into reverse. Was away for two weeks. Have had it back now for a fees weeks and now in the middle of cooking it stops with the message to clean the base pins!! Very, very annoyed! Will it now have to go back again?

I have this error coming up on my machine atm, did u get any answers as to what is the cause of this& was your machine fixed?


Mine has just started to have problems as well.  I turn it on and it just starts going back and forth from reverse enabled to reserve disabled.  It is totally unusable at the moment.  I have told my rep and she is putting in a service form for me.  Just wondering how others went that had this problem.  Is it fixed now?  If so how?


same issue with me today.  Has anyone had any solutions, i'm part way through a recipe.


I have the exact same problem Megzand3, put my porridge on thismorning then did a couple mof turns then got the message to cvlean the points, emptied out the porridge adn cleaned pins, but still didn't work, cleaned pins again but same issue, so don't know where to go now, not happy Jan, had to do my porridge on the stove, not the same.

Only had the thermo a couple of months, the new version, so bit cheesed off about this as keep it clean at all times and make sure the pins are never wet when I use it.

Anyone know what causes this issue would love to hear of a solution?

I have just had this problem today. I had it in reverse - and then it says reverse enabled then a few seconds later it says reverse disabled - and it keeps going backwards and forwards.  Even after i restarted it, it did it again.  I havent called my rep yet.  I also have the new tm5 with the touch screen.

Any other suggestions?

I've had the problem with the screen. Got told today it will fix itself within 4 weeks ....will settle down Was the consultants words.  It makes no sense at all.

We bought our TM5  a couple of months ago. 

The screen flashes through different screens by itself and it flicks between reverse enabled and reverse disabled by itself. We reported it and Thermomix rang me a week later and suggested we take the sticker off the screen. So we did that. Has not made any differences.

But NOW we are getting an error C52 'Please clean contact pins on bowl base' error and it tries to work for 1-2secs before this screen comes up. So atm its totally unusable. Obviously we have cleaned the contact points and made sure they are dry.

My consultant reported it on Monday and I am still waiting for someone to ring me. 

I must admit I am annoyed....I am having Christmas lunch and dinner at my house and had great menu plans for it......I need it fixed asap!

 

Has anyone had this error?? Any solutions?
