I've had this same problem not once, but twice within 12 months; I haven't been able to use Thermie for over a month now; waiting for service still!

I've had mine for five weeks today, and the handle and base have just started coming off. For a $2000 machine, I'm also not impressed that customer service is only available Monday to Friday. 

I noticed this when trying to figure out why the blades weren't spinning properly. I'm not sure if these are related or if it's two separate things. 

Not good enough.

My new 2 month old TM5 is also having problems. I can't get the temp display to show over 105 degrees nor will the red heat indicator line get to the varoma setting.

Unfortunatly my consultant is useless and every time I've needed her (had issues regarding delivery) she has never seemed to help, I've had to go through her TL, this case is the same. I have had no reply from her since my first phone call and 2 emails since and still nothing. Feeling VERY frustrated to say the least!!! 

I really want my TM5 fixed ASAP! I would love to actually use my new $2000 appliance without issues. thermomix AU, have been great to deal with and very helpful, I just wish my consultant was also.

Hi,

After waiting a considerable amount of time for my TM5 to arrive, I now have a broken machine! Less than 2 months old and it appears the spindle that sits on top of the motor and spins the blades has worn away. I have contacted my consultant who has sent in a service request. It renders the machine basicly useless. For a machine that claims to be high powered enough to crush ice, mill nuts and grate hard vegetables, this is what you would expect with a much cheaper and inferior product.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is this a known fault? Or I am the "lucky" one that got a dud machine.

Let's see how long Thermomix service team take to sort this one out. Given poor service to date...
