Hi, received my TM5 yesterday ~ very excited. tmrc_emoticons.smile  Was not sure what to make first!  Did a fresh juice this morning but so different to our normal juice  I used 1 peeled orange, 1/2 apple, 1/2 pear, 1 kiwi, mint, ice & water.  1 min @ speed 10.  The texture was really fibre'ish yet watery, not much taste to it???  Any suggestions?  Was hoping to get rid of the old big juice extractor.  tmrc_emoticons.puzzled

Now what will I try my hand at now???   tmrc_emoticons.smile

I think you said it yourself. the thermie keeps in the fibre where a juicer extracts it. You just may need to play with recipes and take time to get use to more fibre or strain it off.

Have fun playing. Make some veggie stock as you will use that in a few things

Thanks Kate ~ today tried a few different fruit with ice, no water.  Was better than yesterday, just think I have to get use to the fibre side of it.

Vegie stock was made a delivery demo, so ready & waiting for some experimenting!   tmrc_emoticons.smile

Hi MillieB

Have a look at this recipe for a method of making juice in your Thermomix which I think will give you a more satisfactory texture. The gradual addition of the liquid effectively emulsifies the ingredients. The same Community Member also has a green smoothie recipe using water as the liquid. Check these out and see if that method gives you a better result.

Cheers

Margaret

Hi Margaret

Thanks for your reply.  Unfortunately the link does not work.  I will try adding liquid gradually.

Much appreciated.

Cheers

Millie

Hi, I went to a class yesterday and they recommend you use ice to get rid of the fibre texture.  They made parsley & lemon juice, though I thought the parsley was over powering it certainly didn't feel fiberous.

many thanks
