I have had great success getting the bowl and blades shiny as new with a baking soda paste. It doesn't take much, and it doesn't require a lot of rubbing either and no strength. I put a bit of baking soda in a bowl, put on a pair of gloves and drip a drop or two of water into the baking soda. Mix it around a bit with a finger, take a bit on a finger and start making small circles inside the TM bowl. Doesn't take long and works wonders. For the blades, its easy to do the top sode, but the fiddly bits of the inside are more difficult. Try to dribble a bunch of baking soda paste into the gap between the middle part and a blade, and use a small bottle brush to rub the baking soda around.

Hi vixashortii,

I know its an old post but try using about 500 ml water with a little laundry detergent powder. 30 min / 37 degrees / Speed 2 afterwards leave liquid to work overnight. Next day pour away half the liquid and replace with lukewarm water, speed 5-6 for about 1 min using  Counterclock a couple Of times. Take out the blades and put blades and  Mixingbowl closed in your dishwasher using your standard program. Now you should have a almost brand-new looking  Mixingbowl closed and blades. Let me know whether it worked for you, for me it works fine.

Hi all,I have had my Thermomix for coming up to 2 years now. I still use it regularly but I am finding now its difficult to clean the bowl, the bottom of the bowl (where the blades sit) and the blades. I have done vinegar rinses, citrus rinses, dishwashing rinses and nothing. I have used my TMx brush to try and clean the blades but nothing. It still looks gross and unclean... does anyone have any other suggestions?
