Forum Hollandaise Sauce - ThermoBix Recipe and keeping
Thanks very much I have already shared the Infused Vinegar with one of my friends and I have also used it in making the EDC's Tartare sauce as it adds great flavour and if one doesn't have fresh Tarragon to hand, I substitute the infused vinegar for the 1tbsp of white wine vinegar
Hi Charlotte,
The Tarragon Infused Vinegar is probably the safer bet for a pressie if you want to make it in advance and store prior to Chirssy however, if you want to give people the Hollandaise then it will keep as long as it is refrigerated appropriately and made only one or two days prior.
It might be a good idea to pre-make a test run sample (looks like more Varoma asparagus is in order!) and see how long it keeps in your fridge for eating. Then you can make little labels to affix to the bottles telling people how long they can keep it for and how it should be stored / eaten.
Hope that helps, drop us another line if you need more handy hints
Hi All , the last thermobiz news there was listed a Taragon Infused Hollandaise Sauce Recipe at the end of the recipe there was a mention that it would make an excellant Xmas pressie.... My question is is it just the Taragon Infused Vinegar or can one Keep the Hollandaise? I have always eaten mine fresh and warm? Any ideas the Hollandaise Sauce Was great exspecially with Varoma steamed asparagus ....
