Forum in the mix
I've only owned my TM5 for a few weeks now so being pretty keen about it all I ordered the two books. It took nearly 2 weeks to get them, which I was disappointed with, and between both books ($115 later) there are about 3 recipes I will realistically try making. I do feel that I've wasted my money unfortunately.
Today I made the mushroom risotto balls Family loved them but they did not look like the photo in the book. Dani has said at bottom of recipe bake and turn after 10 min for another 10 min to ensure an even golden brown. Mine didnt go brown at all I sprayed them with oil but didnt help What am I doing wrong. Also do you think can freeze balls.
One other question I want to make the Blue Cheese Eclairs has anyone made the eclairs a day ahead and filled on the day or frozen them??

I ordered the in the mix book and found a lot of the recipes a bit 'out there' with strange ingredients I have never heard of, although there are some that I will give a go, especially the sweet recipes.
I think this book looks amazing.
Have had it a week and only so far tried the olive rolls whcih worked out as some of the best bread rolls I have ever made.
I halved the recipe (as there are only 2 of us) and halved the kneeding time and they were JUST YUMMY
Hi No Sugar
Sorry to hear that you didn't like the book, it is a little different, in a good way I think.
If you're looking for something a little more everyday that has great pictures and lots of tips try the My Way of Cooking. More "day to day" recipes I think.
Speak to your consultant who you got the book from, maybe they can help you out with a swap if you're really lucky :) Otherwise I'm sure they can get you the My Way book.

I am not impressed with this cookbook. Think I wasted my money. Even the spag Bol went down badly. Orange and star anise just don't work in spag Bol. Are there any good easy recipe books out there for daily use?
ok. The cake can be my project tomorrow between work, children & lunch with the girls.
I love the asian style dishes in this book.
I love my TM & the In The Mix Cookbook, but star anise DEFINITELY does NOT belong in bolognaise. In my opinion it would be like putting parmesan cheese in fresh vietnamese spring rolls!
I made the basic cake from "in the mix" last night. Really quick and easy and very yummy. I went to Dani's class in Tooronga, she's so inspiring!!
The Quince Paste is excellent!
I attended Dani's class in Launceston today and have come away really inspired to try some of the more 'cheffy' ones!
I am keen to try the Muesli Bars after hearing good feedback too.
I made the Quince Paste and it was devine, can't wait to try something else
sarahbelle, sorry we can't share the recipes as they're copyright. Some of them will be on the app for iphone and ipad etc.
I made the Quince Paste today and it's awesome!
I made the spaghetti bolognaise last night and it was a big hit! It has orange zest and star anise in it which gives it a different flavour. Really enjoyed it!
Can you lease share the muesli bar recipe? I have had my thermo a eek and still trying to find good recipes.
Thank you.
That is a lot of spice. I'd go with less and see how you go.
I've only made the Hollandaise so far and it uses too much vinegar for my taste. I've just downloaded the app and look forward to making many more of Dani's recipes.
I was just about to make the chicken tagine.
I have a query. It asks for 30g of coriander and 30g or cumin. That is a lot of spice. is this correct?
Mueslie bars... wonderful - my favorite substitute for the supermarket ones yet, and we have tried a fare few!!
Hi Briana,
People are going crazy for this book - it really is the start of a new 'era' in Thermomix cooking and taking existing users to the next level with their Thermies Let us know what you cook first and even tweak a recipe or two and enter our Christmas Creations Competition!!!
Very exciting

I'm keen to hear what everyone thinks of "in the mix"?
I have been hearing some great feedback on it and am so excited to finally get my very own copy today!!! I cannot wait to start trying out the recipes.
The biggest decision will be - what first!
