Hi Kellferg

Sorry to hear this.

We have passed your post onto our Customer Service team to see if there is anything further they can do.

We hope to get you back cooking with your Cook-key soon.

Warm regards

Let me start by saying 'I love my thermomix' and I used to think I would never be interested in one. So suffice it to say, I am really disappointed that after just over 2 years my $189 Cook-Key appears to be faulty.

I have spoken to customer service who had me preform different re-sets and tests but to no avail.
With the failure of the Cook-Key, customer service have advised I will now need to purchase a new one ...... another $189 dollars, not ideal.

When I was finally convinced to spend $2000 odd dollars on a Thermomix and then extra on the accessories I truly believed I had made a purchase that would last me a lifetime. I waited until the interest free offer came up again and dillergently paid it all off thinking this is a one off purchase, I'll have it for a very long time. Now with the failure of the Cook-Key I am beginning to wonder if the Thermomix's electronics will be next, or the scales (I see others having this problem)and if the actual lifespan of the Thermomix products are actually a lot less than I expected.

I find it particularly disappointing that CService could not tell me why this might have happened so if I do purchase a new CKey I would know what to avoid.

I would also like to think that after making the investment and becoming part of the Thermomix family, there might be a reduction in the cost of replacement items such as the CKey or recipe chips etc without having to hold another demonstration. All my friends have TM's so who would I invite??

I have also searched the net for explanations/causes of the failure but there doesn't seem to be any info on this issue. Am I the only one??????
