Forum TM5 blades suddenly making shrieking, grinding noise when turning.

It sounds like your blades need to be replaced. You've had a great run of 5 1/2 years with the originals. You're machine will have a new lease on life when these are replaced and your chopping will be first rate again.

Please help. I went to use my TM5 for the first time in a couple of weeks & the blades are making a nasty shrieking, grinding sound.
I have disassembled the blades & cleaned the green O ring etc, and discovered what appears to be black grease where the blade locks into the machine. There are no other signs of wear or tear, & it has never skipped a beat or made any unusual noises before. I have had it for 5 1/2 years now.
Is it possible I just need to replace the blade set?
