I have made the pumpkin soup a couple of times.  I did try making it with the seeds/skin etc as the EDC says there is no need to peel if using a soft skinned pumpkin.  Not sure if my pumpkin was soft skinned (it was  a butternut pumpkin) but the skin didn't really cook properly and the soup was lumpy.  Have tried it since and didn't use the skin (although I did use the seeds still) and it was delicious. I think the second time I made sure my cubes of pumpkin were fairly small. You could always try whizzing it a bit longer. It may help.  Hope you have some success with it!!  It is certainly easier and a lot less mess than the traditional way of making the soup - pots & pans and then using blender to whiz it all up!! High everyone! Any tips to make the pumpkin soup smooth instead of lumpy? Tastes delicious but don't like the lumps. Can I put it back into the bowl and whizz it a bit longer? This may be a very basic question but my Herman The Therman was only delivered this evening so I am feeling my way. The red Thai chicken curry my husband made (complete with TM red curry paste) was absolutely delicious so we are doing something right!
