I adjusted the 'Too Easy Chocolate Cake' recipe in the EDC book to make it dairy free. I substituted the 100g of milk for 50g rice milk and 50g coconut milk (for the fat content) and for the 120g butter, I used 120g coconut butter/oil. It worked out fine. I usually reduce the amount of sugar in recipes too, ususally by at least one third, sometimes half, especially if the recipe has fruit because that has it's own sweetness. Hope that helps.


This is my first post requesting help so I hope it is in the right place.

I would like to bake some healthier biscuits -Has anyone adjusted any of the recipes in the EDC to make them a bit healthier? My main concern was the amount of butter - do you think reducing it would effect the outcome? Sugar is easy to reduce and usually has no impact 

I have not had my TX long enough to be confident playing around with recipes yet
