1 bottle(s)

Syrup

  • 1 cup raw sugar
  • 1 cup instant coffee powder, I prefer to use Robert Timms, but Moccona works well also. It does NEED to be instant to work

Tip

This keeps for a long time in the fridge.

To make an iced mocha, follow the ice coffee instructions but add a squeeze to taste (I like about equal parts choc topping / coffee syrup) of chocolate topping and continue with recipe

You LIED!! It absolutely does not last a long time in the fridge! It gets drank waaaay to fast 😆 it's absolutely DELICIOUS!!!

I defs recommend only putting it on speed 2 to reduce froth! And don't bother tasting it straight after you make it, it tastes bitter until it's sat in the fridge for at least a few hours after cooking.

My husband would always buy an Extra Strong Dare Coffee each day but I don't approve of the $$$ spent on this so I tried this recipe and he loves it Smile I make a couple of batches each week and he prepares it each night for the next day and now we are both happy! I followed other comments and reduced the speed to 2 to limit the froth on top.

Delicious recipe. I used half Moccona and half Coles organic fair trade coffee (tastes similar the the “old” Moccona classic toast no. 5. I didn’t get much froth, so maybe it was the half Coles coffe? Cooked on speed 2 as per other comments about froth.

Absolutely delicious! I don’t usually drink cold coffee (apart from the fact I’m a mummof two to my drinks are never usually hot lol) but I love this! My hubby approves and he is a bit iced coffee fan. We usually just put it in the glass with milk and a few cubes of ice. On occasion we add whipped cream and it tops it off beautifully

    Submitted by crozza on 5. September 2018 - 10:32.

I made this last night, as the comments on this were amazing.

After making it, I immediately tried it, and I must admit, I was not a fan. I poured the leftover into a jar and left it on the bench.

This morning I decided I needed to use it up, so I made an iced coffee, and it was AMAZING!!

I think it needed time to cool down and thicken up a bit, instead of using it straight away.

I absolutely love it now, and I’ll be making it for sure on a regular basis.

Just make sure to let it sit/cool before using it
