  • 1 cup raw sugar
  • 1 cup instant coffee powder, I prefer to use Robert Timms, but Moccona works well also. It does NEED to be instant to work

Tip

This keeps for a long time in the fridge.

To make an iced mocha, follow the ice coffee instructions but add a squeeze to taste (I like about equal parts choc topping / coffee syrup) of chocolate topping and continue with recipe

Delicious recipe. I used half Moccona and half Coles organic fair trade coffee (tastes similar the the “old” Moccona classic toast no. 5. I didn’t get much froth, so maybe it was the half Coles coffe? Cooked on speed 2 as per other comments about froth.

Completely understand why people are raving about this.. it's delicious and so easy! Thank you. Following other comments I reduced the speed to 2 when I made a double batch (cooking 12 minutes), and had only very little froth.

For anyone (like me!) who had to fish out their measuring cups for this recipe.... here you go!
    225g Raw sugar
    65g coffee
    220g boiling water.
Just infusing now, and will cook on speed 2 to avoid as much ‘head’. Thanks for the recipe!

Absolutely delicious! I don’t usually drink cold coffee (apart from the fact I’m a mummof two to my drinks are never usually hot lol) but I love this! My hubby approves and he is a bit iced coffee fan. We usually just put it in the glass with milk and a few cubes of ice. On occasion we add whipped cream and it tops it off beautifully

I made this last night, as the comments on this were amazing.

After making it, I immediately tried it, and I must admit, I was not a fan. I poured the leftover into a jar and left it on the bench.

This morning I decided I needed to use it up, so I made an iced coffee, and it was AMAZING!!

I think it needed time to cool down and thicken up a bit, instead of using it straight away.

I absolutely love it now, and I’ll be making it for sure on a regular basis.

Just make sure to let it sit/cool before using it

This is so good. I increased the coffee and decreased the sugar a little. I'm a bit of a coffee addict, so I like it strong. I gave some to my husband and he had the shakes all afternoon. Think I may have to stick to the recipe as is.  tmrc_emoticons.) I was going to give some as a present for my sons teacher. Will this keep out of the fridge for a week in a sealed bottle?

    Hi,

I have used a large coffee mug as a measure, but find with much more than this the mixture boils over. I made 3litres of syrup in a day, I measured all ingredients into jugs (in batches) letting them sit while cooking another batch.  Hope that helps.
