The sugar mode is completely unique to the TM6. The high temperatures this mode reaches is not able to be achieved in the TM5 therefore we do not recommend adapting any recipe using the TM6 sugar mode.

No recipe using the sugar mode has been formally tested in the TM5 and it is unknown whether the bowl or casing may melt or be damaged in the process.

Have a look at the Nut Praline from the Lemon Ice Cream Torte recipe in the Good Food, Gluten Free book or the Caramel discs in the Saint-Honore recipe on Cookidoo. They both work with sugar and we hope are worthy substitutes.
