I'm going to sous vide some Scotch Fillet with a marinade in the bag, then flash fry on BBQ.
Will serve with mashed potato in basket and steamed mixed in Varoma Bowl.

Because I'd placed 2 pieces of steak in each vacuum bag, I couldn't sous vide as they wouldn't fit in the bowl.
So, I steamed them in the Varoma instead! Fantastic! I left them to cool and cooked the veggies when I was ready to finish cooking the steak.
Absolutely the best steak I've ever tasted.

I've loved reading all the dinner ideas!! Makes me hungry. My Thermomix arrives tonight, after kids are in bed so no dinner plans for it but might look nto some yummy dessert ideas?

I have just made rice and bolognaise sauce - My first ever TM meal!!! so excited and happy with it.
Tonight I made pizza dough. Kids had ham and cheese. Adults had chicken with a BBQ/Sweet Chilli sauce. I minced frozen chicken thighs in the TM and then cooked on the hotplate before adding to the pizza. Was nice.
Had leftover Carrot cake from last nights effort afterwards. mmmmm
I made lemon,coconut brownies very yum.

On nights like thise my greatest pleasure is a couple of 60degree eggs over fresh steamed asparagus. So YUMMY & no more trouble than opening a can of baked beans!
Tonight we had Ratatouille Terrine and Salad with Chicken Cheese and Tofu (only I didn't have Tofu on hand so we did without) from theFull Steam Ahead cookbook as well as Potato Salad from 'Thermomixen in the kitchen' here on the community. For the Ratatouille, I didn't have any egg plant or capsicum so I just improvised and put in extra zucchini and a carrot or two. It was delicious and hubby and 4 out of our five girls loved it. Not bad odds. Definitely recommend you try it.
Can anyone give me a good shortbread recipe and just noticed the ones posted only have cornflour not rice flour .... can gluten intollerant eat corn flour?

I'm new to the foum and have loved reading all your posts, great dinner inspiration! I have had my TM for about 2 months now and just love it. I'm working my way through the cookbooks one dinner at a time with a goal of not cooking a main meal twice (hard to do though with some favorites).
Tonight for dinner we are having Veal Osso Bucco from Meat on the Menu. I've never had Osso Bucco, hopefully it tastes good. Just pairing it with rice and steamed veggies
Reply to Erin's question #62 re: cornflour in shortbread....as long as it is cornflour made with corn and not wheaten cornflour. Corn cornflour will often say gluten free on the packet.

The creamy tomato and salami fetticuini also tastes amazing with chopped up leftover BBQ sausages instead of the salami
