Alfredo with prawns

  • 250 g pasta, - fettuccine (cooked)
  • 30 g Parmesan cheese, Grated
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 30 g Butter
  • 1.5 tablespoons plain flour
  • 150 g chicken stock, Stock mixed in water
  • 150 g Milk
  • 250 g green prawns, - peel, tail and butterfly
  • 3 sprigs chopped parsley

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Place Parmesan in mixing bowl and grate 10 sec/ speed 8 - set aside.

    2. Chop garlic 3 sec/speed 7. Scrape down sides of bowl.

    3. Add butter and flour, saute 3 mins/varoma/speed 1.

    4. Add chicken stock, milk and parmesan cook 8 mins/100deg/speed 1.

    6. Add prawns cook 3 min/100 deg /Counter-clockwise operation/speed 1.

    7. Add cooked pasta and heat through 1 min/100 deg/Counter-clockwise operation/speed 1.

    8. Garnish with parsley and serve.

Tip

Is good with chicken too.
if you like it creamy you can use Cream instead of chicken stock.
I use I&J raw prawns from Coles.
