Ingredients
Creamy Garlic Prawn Pasta (TM7 version) by Thermo Cazza
- 250 g Parmesan cheese, Block version (cubed) - 140g used in the recipe
- 50 g Salted butter, cubed
- 10 g Avocado Oil
- 50 g garlic paste, salted
- 300 g dry white wine
- 400 g Boiling water, or fish stock (boiled)
- 300 g thickened cream
- 300 g Fusilli Pasta, dry
- 30 g chicken stock paste, Thermomix Cookidoo Recipe
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 500 g Prawn, small/tails off - defrosted, well drained
- 20 g parsley, leaves only - finely chopped
- 60 g Fresh Baby Spinach, optional
- black pepper, freshly ground, for serving

- To the bowl, add 250g of cubed Parmesan cheese.
- Place the lid and cap on. Chop 10 sec / Speed 7
- Pour grated cheese into a separate bowl. 140 g of the grated Parmesan will be used in Step 7. The remainder is extra for serving.
- To the bowl, add 50g Salted Butter (cubed), 10g avocado oil, 50g garlic paste (salted)
- Place the lid on (measuring cup off)
Cook: 4 mins / 120 degrees / Speed 1 - To the bowl, add 300g dry white wine
- Heat for 5 mins / 120 degrees / Speed 2 (measuring cup off)
Meanwhile, boil the water in a kettle. - To the bowl, add the boiling water (or hot clear fish stock)
- Add the 300g Thickened Cream, 30g Chicken Stock Paste (Cookidoo version) & 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- Select Manual Mode: 4.5 mins / 95 degrees / Speed 2 (measuring cup off).
Watch for overboiling - drop the temperature by 5 degrees if necessary. - To the bowl, add 300g of Fusilli pasta
- Cook pasta 15 mins / 100 degrees / Spoon Speed - reverse blade - measuring cup off.
Assist with occasional stirring by placing the spatula in the lid hole.
Pasta will thicken as it reaches the 15 min cook time. - To the bowl, add 500g of raw prawns (tails off - well drained). Combine with the spatula.
- Cook: 2 mins / 100 degrees / Spoon Speed (reverse blade)
Assist with stirring by placing the spatula through the lid hole until the prawns are cooked through. - To the bowl, add 140g of the reserved grated parmesan
- Add 10g of the chopped parsley leaves & combine with the spatula.
- Cook 2 mins / 100 degrees / Spoon Speed (reverse blade) - stirring manually during this time. (Lid off)
- Check seasoning - add extra salt if desired.
- Optional Step: Add 60g of Baby Spinach to your serving dish or Thermomix Server
- Pour the Creamy Garlic Prawn Pasta into your Thermomix Server to keep warm. (If desired, gently combine the baby spinach). Garnish with the remaining 10g chopped parsley. Plate up & serve with extra grated parmesan and freshly ground black pepper. Sauce will thicken as it rests in the Thermomix Server.

Step 4 - Add Liquids
Step 5 - Add Pasta
Step 6 - Add Prawns - Open Cooking Mode
Step 7 - Add Parmesan/Parsley
Step 8 - Serve
Tip
Use the Browning Pre-Clean mode to help clean the bowl.
Extra Prawns could be cooked in a fry pan and added to the creamy pasta.
Always reheat on gentle.
Alternative protein option: use cooked/chopped or shredded chicken in place of prawns in Step 6.

For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
