Mums Tuna Mornay
- 1 onion, quartered
- 2 garlic clove
- 95 g Butter
- 1 level tbsp Vegetable stock paste, see cookidoo for recipe
- 60 g plain flour
- 500 g Milk
- 425 g tuna in brine, drained
- 150 g corn kernels, fresh, frozen or tin
- 150 g peas, baby, frozen, frozen or tin
- 4 hard-boiled egg, optional

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
- Chop onion & garlic 3sec/Speed 7
- Scrape down sides of bowl, add butter and saute without MC 3min/Varoma/Speed 1
- Add veg stock and flour. Mix 20sec/Speed 2
- Scrape down sides of bowl and mix again 10sec/Speed 2
- Add milk and cook 7mins/90deg/Speed 3
- Add tuna, corn & peas if using 10mins/100deg/Speed 2
- add boiled eggs & mix"Counter-clockwise operation" on spoon speed"Gentle stir setting"
- Put into Thermoserver to keep warm & Serve with pasta, rice or mash
