Tuna mornay

  • 130 grams Kraft cheddar cheese
  • 80 grams unsalted butter
  • 150 grams plain flour

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place cheese in tmx bowl and grate 2 sec/speed 6. Transfer to a bowl and set aside. Wash and dry mixing bowl
  2. Place butter in tmx bowl and melt 3min/100degrees/speed1
  3. Add plain flour & salt. Cook 3min/100degrees/speed1
  4. Add milk to bowl and cook 6min/90degrees/speed4
  5. Add mustard & cheese to bowl and cook 1min/100degrees/speed4
  6. Add tuna and egg to bowl and cook 1min30sec/100degrees/Counter-clockwise operation/speed 2
  7. Serve on a bed of boiled rice
