  • 1.500 grams chicken thigh fillet
  • 2 onions, Cut in half
  • 2 garlic cloves, Peeled
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest, grated
  • 250 grams tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoons mustard powder
  • 1 teaspoons curry powder
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar, malt
  • 1 teaspoons soy sauce

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.       If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees
  2. Place chicken thighs into a greased baking dish
  3. Add onions, garlic and oil to mixing bowl.
    Chop 3 seconds speed 4.5
  4. Scrape down sides of mixing bowl
  5. Saute 5 minutes, varoma, reverseCounter-clockwise operation, speed 1
  6. Add lemon juice, lemon rind, tomato sauce, brown sugar, mustard, curry powder, vinegar, soy sauce, salt & pepper to taste.
  7. Cook 7 minutes, 100 degrees, reverse Counter-clockwise operation, speed 1
  8. Pour over chicken and bake for 1 hour

Tip

You can use thigh cutlets, chicken drumsticks or lovely legs just increase cooking time to suit.
