      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Describe the preparation steps of your recipe

  2. 1. Fill bowl with 500g of water, place simmer basket.

    2. Wash and cut potatoes in 2 cm cubes and place in simmer basket.

3.Wash and trim beans in 4-5 cm chunks, place in simmer basket or varoma if not enough room in simmer basket.

    4. Cook 15mins/Varoma/sp2. Check potatoes and beans are firm but cooked through. Extend cooking time if needed.

    5. Keep potatoes and beans warm in Thermoserver and discard water.

    6. Peel and cut onion in half. Blend 3sec/sp5. Scrape sides.

    7. Cut speck skin off and trim in 0.5 cm strips. Place in bowl with onions.

    8. Cook 4mins/Varoma/Counter-clockwise operationsp1, MC off.  We're aiming to get the bottom of the bowl sticky light brown.

    9. Place onions and lardons (cooked speck) in Thermoserver with potatoes and beans.

    10. Deglaze bowl: Add Vinegar and cook 4 mins/100C/sp2

    11. Add the vinegar reduction to the salad.

    12. Enjoy the salad warm.
