About me: 

Louise is a food writer and cookbook author with a passion for children’s food.  Louise is also a columnist with Practical Parenting magazine and a member of the Woolworths Baby and Toddler Club expert panel.

Louise is a graduate of the prestigious cooking school, Le Cordon Bleu, and she also has postgraduate nutrition qualifications from Deakin University, one of the world’s leading universities in the field of nutrition and dietetics. Louise’s professional background is in law and she has written four legal text books. However, in 2009, she decided to follow her true passion and move into a full-time career in food.

Coming from one of Australia’s foremost food families – her grandmother is Australia’s best-loved cookery expert, Margaret Fulton, and her mother is eminent food writer, Suzanne Gibbs – Louise’s family life has always revolved around cooking and eating well. Louise is now continuing in the family tradition and bringing her food heritage to a new generation. As a mother to a toddler, Louise has a particular interest in childhood nutrition, children’s developing taste preferences and the role that families play in shaping those preferences.

Through her work, Louise hopes to encourage a love of cooking and good food in children of all ages and to open their eyes to just how wondrous and joyous the world of food can be.
