Slow Cooked Baked Beans

Ingredients

Baked Beans

  • 1 red onion
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 can 425g cannellini beans or navy beans
  • 1 can 400g chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons Maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • a pinch of salt and pepper

Recipe's preparation

    Slow Cooked Baked Beans
  1. 1. Peel and cut the red onion into quarters and place into the Thermomix bowl and chop for 3-4 sec/speed 5.

     

    2. Scrape down the bowl and saute for 3 mins/Varoma/speed 1 until translucent.

     

    3. Insert the butterfly and add all the other remaining ingredients and slow cook for 30 mins/100/Counter-clockwise operation/speed 1 using the basket on top instead of the measuring cup.

     

    4. Eat and enjoy! Any leftovers can be stored in the fridge in an airtight container for a few days.
