Black Bean Peppermint Brownies

Ingredients

12 slice(s)

  • 400 g can black beans, Drained & Rinsed
  • 2 --- large eggs
  • 30 g cacao powder
  • 220 g Honey or Maple Syrup
  • 70 g coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
  • 130 g chocolate chips, Chopped

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat Oven 170 Degrees

  2. Grease and line 20 x 20 cm tray.

    Best if you lay baking paper underneath that has been wet and scrunched.

  3. Place all the ingredients into the Bowl Except the chocolate chips.

    or add them all to create a different effect

  4. Blend 20 Seconds, Speed 7

  5. Scrape down sides

  6. Check to see if smooth, if needed repeat 

    Blend 20 Seconds, Speed 7

  7. Add 1/2 the chocolate chips

  8. Mix together 20 Seconds, Counter-clockwise operation, Speed 4

  9. Pour batter into tray

  10. Add the rest of the Choc Chips to the top of the Batter

  11. Bake for 30 - 40 Minutes or untill toothpick comes out clean

  12. Allow to rest for 1/2 hour

    Have it warm with ice cream etc or place it In the freezer for 1 hour and cut up into portions and the refrigerate for school/work snacks.

Tip

If you are using a block of chocolate break it up and turbo 3 to 4 times then set aside.

I do this as my first step then proceed with recipe.

I dont clean the bowl when I start recipe

Use icing suger to present

Fresh Cream is a great side, so is a scoop of Ice Cream
